life is getting veeeery boring and repetitive.. its like im living the life of a shampoo bottle. wash. lather. repeat. wash. lather. repeat. over and over again. everyday doing the same old drills, training the same old stuff. sian. at least next few weeks we'll be doing some stuff for Army Open House, which should be more interesting. but after that it'll just be training for our turn-ops exercise liao... fuck sian..

im falling in love with SNSD more and more everyday. i can't explain why, but the combined charms over 9 (or 8 rather) cute and beautiful korean girls is too much for my heart to handle.

rui en is on the latest 8 days, which is great. but the main article is quite stpid. they decided to go "ironic" this year for Earth Day, suggesting "Ways to Kill the Earth" rather than the usual save the earth stuff. yup, really witty. but, the thing is, they went ahead and explained beforehand that they were gonna be ironic in said article, which essentially ruins the effect. fyi SPH, you cant be ironic and tell ppl at the same time. im not sure they even understand what irony is in the first place.

football's back, and thank goodness i have monday off, if not i wouldnt be able to watch united's opening day match. was a pretty dull match. berbatov is fuck crap, again. its sad cos i dont think we can sell him off to anyone, as noone would pay how much we paid for him. not even close. nani looks like hes getting more mature and effective. fabio was impressive at rightback, tho he needs to pay attention to his defensive duties a lil more. i rly hope all of united's matches this season fall on saturday nights, so that i can catch all of them

watched Up, finally. very very good movie, i highly recommend it.

army life is stagnating. we went for ATP on saturday, but it was an utter waste of time as i didnt get marksman in the end. stupid squatting/kneeling position cost me a glorious $200.. :@

burnt last saturday, but thankfully they're returning it tmr, hence my ability to post on a thursday night. in the end probably gonna rot away in front of my ps3 anyway, but its better than rotting in bunk for sure.

watched harry potter today. disappointingly dull in the end. i've always hated how the dueling is portrayed as puny balls of light flying at each other. i hope the battle of hogwarts will be far more impressive and epic. nearly all the characters were played badly, save dumbledore and malfoy. sigh.. but its harry potter, so there was no way i was gonna miss it. 

i have resolved to start collecting the new vol of deadpool, as well as the merc with a mouth series. also, the captain america: reborn miniseries. i am so not saving up my pay..

hopefully i am doing someting fun on saturday. hopefully..

COULD IT GET ANY WORSE?!

 i havent posted in ages, so here's some updates on life as it is...

i finally bought a ps3, after months of searching and contemplating. got a pretty good deal i think, $579 for ps3+1 controller+1 free game. have thoroughly enjoyed it thus far. fifa09 on ps3 is infinitely better than its ps2 counterpart. after payday im thinking of buying at least one more game, but not sure which... Killzone 2? Fallout 3? Bionic Commando? Prototype? Street Fighter? so many choices, so little money...

finally passed out from the CBRD course on tuesday. didnt really have the same impact as the POP in BMTC of course, consideirng i'll still be in seletar doing the same old thing come next week. it does, however, signify the coming of our long awaited priveleges. booking in later, booking in and out in civies, bringing food and mp3 players in, all this kinda shit will be available to us from now on. hoorah.

there was 'platoon cohesion' on thursday, which essentially was a 2hr LAN session over at paradiz. it was fun for most parts, except that my PS turned out to be an asshole not just in camp, but outside as well. but it was good to lan considering i hadnt done so in a while. plus i got to try the versus mode for L4D, which i hadnt tried befoer either. playing as infected is mad fun, much more fun than playing survivor imho. lanned some more after the official cohesion bit was over. fun times.

btw in case anyone was wondering why i was online for the past few days instead of slogging it out in ns, we got 3 days block leave after out POP. not much, but any freedom is good at this point...

i have just planned my life for the next ~6years. accepted NUS's FOS offer. hoping to major in Life Sciences. yay.

forgot to mention, i saw the trailer for the next Transformers film when i went to watch Wolverine. it looks AWESOME. im still not sure what sort of direction they're taking it, considering the new enemies are like 10 times the size of even Optimus Prime. and, as expected, Megatron is not dead. from the snippets shown, the action looks just too good to miss. plus, theres a scene with Megan Fox looking sexy as hell on a bike. too good to miss.

( so I went to watch Wolverine last night... ) 

 went out yesterday with my friends from Raven. long time since i saw any of them. a month in fact. i miss being in Raven. even though the platoon was bigger, i just felt more bonded to them all than i am now to my CBRD platoon. i miss just chilling in bunk with them, talking cock, singing song, instead of how bunk life is nowadays. plus the sergeants were honestly some of the best i could have hoped for. cant believe im saying tis, but i wouldnt mind going through BMT again. wonder when i'll see them next..

talking to them also made me quite glad of my vocation too. had one friend in infantry who is just scared of his monointake bunkmates cos theyre all maniacal bullies and pranksters. oct friend gets turned out like nobodys business. tank driver friend says the tank is like a damn oven. armour infantry run like nuts. only the sispec ones seem to enjoy life, although they have a 28km march soon. 

next week will be quite siong i think. monday got test. wednesday got 4km MOPP 4 march + 2km run. walao can die sia.

well, no hard feelings eh.

 united utterly destroyed spurs in the 2nd half. if im not wrong they did roughly the same back in 2002 or so. haha tough luck spurs. ronaldo was back at his non-pouting, dribbling-at-appropriate-times, flying best. rooney continues to carry the team on his back. tevez showed his hunger and desire for the ball. even berba looked not bad. if we play like this again on wednesday, le arse can just roll over and get ready to be fucked.
